Read & Shine: Sight Word Adventures (3rd & 4th Grade)

In this dynamic class, children will engage in games, and hands-on activities to learn high-frequency sight words. I’ll break down words into manageable steps, helping students build confidence and develop reading skills at their own pace. Whether your child is just starting to read or looking to strengthen their vocabulary, this class offers the perfect mix of fun and learning! 

Each week we’ll learn 3-5 sight words, depending on the class size.
 
4/7 Week 1
Word List: across, answer, begin, believe, better 
Introduce word list, search, games, sentence builder. 

4/14 Week 2 
Word List: bright, building, caught, decide, different
Review previous week’s list, learn new list, search, games, sentence builder. 

4/21 Week 3 
Word List: enough, every, example, explain, family
Review previous week’s list, learn new list, search, games, sentence builder. 

4/28 Week 4 
Word List: favorite, future, friend, group, happen
Review previous week’s list, learn new list, search, games, sentence builder. 

And much more. 

Every class will start with a review of the previous week's words, allowing students to read them aloud. Then, new words will be introduced using visuals and simple sentences. Engaging games like Sight Word Bingo, Word Hunt, or Sentence Builder will be played, where students will read each word, and use them in sentences. The class will finish with a short recap, and students will be encouraged to practice their new words at home.

Students can join at any time, since this is a weekly class and it does not build on the previous class.

If the class enrollment minimum is not met, session will be canceled and a refund will be given to those who enrolled.
