In this course, we will dive into second-grade spelling and sight words with the goal of improving our reading fluency and confidence. Whether your kiddo is preparing to enter second grade or is already working through second-grade work, this course is sure to give them the tools they need to read with ease. My teaching style encourages learners to be active participants in their learning by using the info they already have to build upon what we're uncovering in class. Children will have the opportunity to engage with me by giving their thoughts, answering questions, and participating in games during the class. I'm so happy to have you here :)
Learning Goals

As a youth mentor and substitute teacher, I've had the opportunity to teach reading and language arts amongst other subjects over the past 11 years. I've offered spelling and sight word assistance in many classrooms in the Florida area. I've also assisted with spelling and sight words as an assistant director with my local Boys & Girls Club.
