US Grade Preschool - 1
Beginner Level
Each class will begin with a welcome song. We will then review the letter names and letter sounds of the alphabet. It is important that young readers become fluent at "reading" the letter names and sounds. Students will be introduced to common beginning sight words that they will learn through a variety of fun and engaging ways. For example, we will use computer slides, games, flashcards, spelling out loud, and many more techniques to help your young reader get a good grasp on sight words....

I am a former elementary school teacher with 29 years in public education. I taught 19 years as a first grade teacher and 10 years as a reading teacher. I have a Masters degree in Elementary Education, and I am a certified reading teacher. I love teaching young children. I feel it is important for kids to have fun while they are learning so I make my lessons fun and engaging!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
