Description
Class Experience
Student will have one on one access to tutor for a 50 minute session in order to address student's individual needs. Tutoring will consist of help with homework, worksheets or any math lesson the student needs help with. Student may bring work to class or can be provided by teacher.
The goal of this lesson is to simplify the lesson as far as the student needs it and address any misconceptions along the way.
Math can seem difficult at times, as a former classroom teacher I understand that students don't always learn in a regular classroom or group setting, that is where private tutoring comes in. I have the patience and expertise to address your child's needs. I have been private tutoring for more than 9 years with students from Elementary to College Level and I have learned that everyone learns in a particular way and pace. I identify the weakness of every student and make a way to transform that into their strength.
Please come prepared with homework, assignments or topics that you would like to review. If no work is provided, I can provide a lesson based on age or grade level.
Assessment of student comprehension is ongoing throughout the lesson in the form of questioning and modeling on the student's part.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
