Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
Success in high school courses such as Algebra, Geometry, and Physics can be achieved by building a strong foundation of math in the younger years. These activities will provide the student with instruction on solving and graphing equations and inequalities, as well as the prerequisite skills (order of operations, math properties, simplifying expressions) needed to master equations and inequalities.

I will provide the notes, activities and directions needed to seamlessly follow through each lesson. The student will be encouraged to take notes as they move through the lessons as this will help them complete their assignments, and I will respond to any questions that may be posted, typically within 24 hours. The estimated time for completion is 4 weeks; however, time can be extended as needed.

Upon completion of the activities, the student should have a deeper understanding on the methods to solving problems involving equations and inequalities.
Learning Goals
Objectives include using:

-order of operations to simplify expressions
-math properties to evaluate algebraic expressions
-inverse operations to solve equations and inequalities
-graphing to explore relationships between expressions

I LOVE math! I love finding creative and interesting ways to deliver instruction while helping students build their math sense. After 25 years of teaching Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2 to students with a variety of skill levels, including 5 years teaching online to students learning from home, I feel uniquely qualified to provide learners with the tools they need to become masters of mathematics!
