"Let's Make a Pizza" Class for Preschoolers Ages 3-5

Hello! My name is Katerina, I am a special education teacher with over 13 years of teaching experience in the USA. 

-I have a Bachelor's in Middle Eastern studies/Elementary education (Rutgers University)  
-Master's in special education (New Jersey City University) . 
-Taught Elementary, Middle and High School. 
-Subjects that I have taught include science, history, language arts, chemistry, physics, social skills, mindfulness and more.  

I am currently a full time teacher at a top school district in NJ and also a full time mom to an amazing, energetic, intelligent 3 year old boy.

My son and my students inspire me to be a better teacher everyday. My classes are focused on having fun while learning. I engage all students to participate in the lesson using music, games, reading and more. I believe children learn best when they are connected, having fun and engaged.

I love helping children learn and discover the world around them. My strengths as a teacher are exploring and learning through music, reading, and pretend play. I have a diverse background and I create classes to share my love for Russian language/culture. I also focus on mindfulness and empathy in my teaching approach. 

My expertise is working with children with special needs and learning challenges which has allowed me to teach content engaging and relevant keeping the interest of all learners! I have years experience working with students with Autism, ADHD, ODD and Anxiety.

As a mother and teacher, I understand the importance and need for diverse quality education. I looking forward to meeting you all in my classroom.
