Discover the exciting world of dog agility! No dog needed, just an interest in the sport. We will discuss a bit of the history of agility and how it has evolved. Students will view pictures and videos of dogs participating in agility. Several of the different agility organizations will be presented, such as AKC, UKI, and CPE. The equipment will be discussed and course maps will be analyzed. Faults and scoring will be presented. This course follows a lecture format with class discussion and little quizzes along the way. Questions welcomed! This is an informational course. For a hands on agility lesson with your personal dog, please see the instructor's dog training class. The session is taught by a canine professional who has competed and holds multiple titles in agility for 20 years in several different organizations with various breeds of dogs.
