Did you know that a dog's sense of smell can be up to 100,000 times better than humans? What breed's scent findings can be permissible in court? What dog sport focuses on dogs identifying different odors? Learn some amazing facts about the power in a dog's nose in this class. We will explore the mechanics of what makes a dog's sense of smell so powerful. The ways dogs can help people with their incredible noses will also be discussed. This class will follow a lecture and discussion format using slides with pictures and information. There will be little pop up quizzes along the way, as well as a game about dog's noses. Participation through discussion and using the annotation function is encouraged, but not required.
