A lifelong fan of Marguerite Henry's books, I have always been fascinated by the Assateague ponies. I have been fortunate to visit the island and see the ponies in person. I am a supporter of the ponies, and have several contacts on the island, so I learn new information about them every day. As a vet tech for an equine practice, I have been able to work with several ponies from Assateague. Currently I live on a farm with my personal herd of 8 horses. I am also a certified equine trainer and I judge horse shows.
