Do you have a passion for collecting model horses? Perhaps you participate in model horse showing, customizing, or crafting your own tack. Whether you collect Breyer, Schleich, Peter Stone, Hartland, or any other kind, let's get together and share our horses and ponies and accessories. Learners are encouraged to bring models to class, and we will take turns sharing about them. Here's a chance to connect with others that share our hobby, and develop friendships and social skills along the way. Don't have model horses but are interested in learning more? Come on in and see what it is all about and learn about different brands of models. So gather up your herd and gallop on in! I am a lifelong collector of model horses. My personal collection exceeds 400 models and continues to grow! I regularly attend Breyerfests and am active in the horse model community.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Education from Eastern Illinois University
Hello! My name is Amy Rovtar Payne. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education, and have previously taught in the school system for several years. I live on a farm with lots of animals, where I follow my passion of training feral mustangs. I am a certified horseback riding instructor and enjoy teaching others to ride. When my schedule allows, I judge horse shows. I actively compete and am a title holder in dog sports such as agility, nosework, obedience and rally. I am studying to become an agility judge with the UKI. Currently I also work in a canine rehab center, where I lead hydrotherapy sessions and am a certified laser technician. Another one of my hobbies is writing, and I am a published author of non-fiction and poetry. I'm excited to share my knowledge with others!
