In this ongoing class, your child will learn to read and word short vowel (CVC, Closed Syllable) words. We will focus on reading and spelling short vowel words (CVC) in this class through a Orton-Gillingham approach. Each week will focus on a different short vowel or word family. Students will be able to practice to reading and writing short vowel words through writing words, reading decodable books, phonics bingo, and other engaging activities. I am a reading specialist trained in helping students learn to read and write. I have my Masters in Literacy and my Bachelors in Elementary Education. I am trained in a variety of phonic programs including the Orton-Gillingham approach and Fundations.
-dry erase board/markers (paper and markers/pencils is fine) - Print worksheet before class (will be sent each week to families)
