US Grade Kindergarten - 2
Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this class, children wil learn to blend short "a" and short "e" vowel sounds to create CVC(constant-vowel-constant) words. Each week we will focus on a different blended sound. I will use a variety of games, reading, writng, and drawing activities to give learners as much exposure and repetition to the sounds and words as possible. We will also learn a few simple sight words so we can read short sentences using our new blended words vocabulary. After each class, I will provide an activity sheet, in the classroom room, that you can print out for continued practice and reveiw at home. Here are the 12 weeks of sounds: Week 1 (September 2nd-8th): "-at" Week 2 (September 9th - 15th): "-an" Week 3 (September 16th - 22nd): "-ab" Week 4 (September 23rd - 29th) : "-ad" Week 5 (September 30th - October 6th): "-am" Week 6 (Ocotber 7th - 13th): "-ax" Week 7 (October 14th - 20th): "-ag" Week 8 (October 21st - 27th) : "-ap" Week 9 (October 28th - November 3rd) : "-ed" Week 10 (November 4th - 10th) : "-ee" Week 11 (November 11th - 17th) : "-en" Week 12 (November 18th - 24th): "-et" I will post in the classroom, before each upcoming class, the sound we will be focusing on as well.

If I do not know the answer to a child's question, I will research it and let them know. Knowledge is a powerful tool that can create a spark for future learning and life adventures.
