US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
In this class,  your child will use their knowledge of letters and their sounds to help them read and write! We will primarily focus on reading and spelling short vowel words (CVC) in this class through fun and engaging activities such as phonics bingo, picture/word sorts, reading decodable texts, and other literacy activities and games! This class is great for learners who are in Kindergarten or First Grade.

Sample Class Structure:
1. Letter-Sound Recognition warmup 
2. Letter writing practice
3. Reading Words warm up - we will practice how to segment (sound out) and blend sounds in short vowel words
4. Game time!

This class is great for students who need to review their phonics skills including students with dyslexia.

Learning Goals
Students will improve their ability to read short vowel (Consonant-Vowel- Consonant, CVC) words through reviewing individual letters sounds and segmenting and blending sounds to read words.

Your child should have a dry-erase board and markers. Paper and markers is also fine.
