Class experience
After assessing your child's phonics (reading and spelling) skills, I will create a customized plan based on your child's needs. Using the Orton-Gillingham approach and materials, your child will receive explicit phonics instruction that are based on the science of reading. This tutoring is great for students who need to review phonics skills, need extra practice, have learning disabilities, or who have dyslexia. Sample Class Structure: 1. Letter Sound Warm up 2. I am a certified teacher and have been teaching for 18 years. I am a reading specialist and have been trained in a variety of phonics programs including the Orton-Gillingham approach. I have experience working with students with learning disabilities and dyslexia.
The methods used in this class are geared towards students with learning variations including Dyslexia. The multi-sensory activities help learners and structure of the class allows learners to multiple opportunities to practice the skill.
