Class Experience
In this ongoing class, the students will review five CVC words and work on reading a passage using the five CVC words mixed with simple words such as my, on, here, is, the, etc. **Fluency is the ability to read a text accurately, quickly, and with expression. Reading fluency is important because it provides a bridge between word recognition and comprehension. *The order of the class will go as follows: *1. Introduction of CVC word family (at, id, ug, etc.) *2. Google Slides...
*Students will be able to blend and read CVC words. *Students will practice reading passages with CVC words. *Students will take turns listening to others read. *Students will build their reading fluency.
*I am an experienced elementary reading teacher and have a great love for teaching beginning reading to children starting with the ABC’s and CVC word families. I want my students to be excited about learning to read and I feel that my passion comes thru when teaching the essential reading skills all children need.
