After assessing your child's phonics (reading and spelling) skills, I will create a customized plan based on your child's needs. Using the Orton-Gillingham approach and materials, your child will receive explicit phonics instruction that are based on the science of reading. I am a certified teacher and have been teaching for 18 years. I am a reading specialist and have been trained in a variety of phonics programs including the Orton-Gillingham approach. I have experience working with students with learning disabilities and dyslexia.
The methods used in this class are geared towards students with learning variations including Dyslexia. The multi-sensory activities help learners and structure of the class allows learners to multiple opportunities to practice the skill.
