Phonics Fun: Reading and Writing CVC Words with Digraphs (ch, sh, th, wh)

In this class,  your child will use their knowledge of letters and their sounds to help them read and write! We will primarily focus on reading and spelling short vowel words (CVC) with digraphs (ch, sh, th, wh) in this class through fun and engaging activities such as phonics bingo, picture/word sorts, reading decodable texts, and other literacy activities and games! This class is great for learners who are in Kindergarten or First Grade. Your child should be able to identify all letters of the alphabet and their sounds. We will practice reading words such as: chin, ship, whiz, then.

Class Structure:
1. Letter-Sound Recognition warmup 
2. Reading Words warm up - we will practice how to segment (sound out) and blend sounds in short vowel words. Ex: ch-o-p ->chop
3. Read simple sentences with digraphs
4. Game time!

This class is great for students who need to review their phonics skills including students with dyslexia, ESL, or who need additional practice.
