Class Experience
In this class, you will learn about teleprompters, why we use them, and how to read from one. First, we will start out by learning what a teleprompter is. We will go over some jobs that use teleprompters and why they use them. This will be done through discussion and writing lists. We will then discuss the skills required like: intonation, reading without looking like you are reading and presence in front of a camera (since this is an online class they will get to feel like they are on...

I majored in Communications Broadcast Journalism Radio/TV at the University of Central Florida. I took classes on Writing for Electronic Media, Electronic Journalism, Broadcast Announcing and Performance, Single Camera Video Production, Principles of Advertising, Radio-Television Advertising. In some of these classes, we had to pitch a news story, interview people, write the story, edit the story, and then present it. In other classes, we learned to read from a teleprompter, on camera announcing presence, and audio/video editing.
Teleprompter script: The latest breaking story is in. A dog saves a girl from drowning. A witness says he heard a splash and looked in the bay to see a little girl had fallen in. He immediately ran to the dock to jump in when he saw a dog swimming towards her. The dog dove under her supporting her as he swam back to the dock. Now to Tina who is at the scene…
