Also in go at your own pace format - https://outschool.com/classes/flex-class-bake-it-or-fake-it-competition-qCGoRSFo?usid=xEHsIUSd&signup=true&utm_campaign=share_activity_link Students will participate in a baking competition based on the popular Netflix show - Nailed It. The recipe will be shared during class and, in class, students will have a set amount of time to create their baked good. Ingredients list will be sent out a few days prior to class. Once the good is baked, they will decorate and we will have a showdown at the end to reveal the final product. Students are encouraged to talk during class and socialize with the other students. I will also be asking the students baking questions, if they want to answer. I will show the students what they are making at the beginning of class but will not be baking during class. Instead, I will be there to answer any questions. However, I want the students to be able to bake and decorate on their own. The final judging will be mainly based on the look and decorations. Since I won't be able to taste the recipe myself, I will have the students taste their own creation and tell me how it is. I want them to be honest because it will make the class more fun. Some recipes take longer to bake than the hour set for class. In this case, they will simply need to get it in the oven before class ends to be part of the judging. All levels are welcome as long as the student is able to follow a recipe and use kitchen utensils (measuring spoons, cups, mixer, etc) and oven on their own. I can't wait to see those baking masterpieces! Who will be the next Baker or Faker? If you have multiple children interested in the class, please reach out for the coupon code for a sibling 50% discount code for the first class! Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from University of Central Florida
I love cooking and baking! I have been doing both for over 15 years. I started out helping my mom and dad make meals. My sister and I used to have cooking shows and pretended to have our own restaurant. Currently, I am a mom of 2 boys and am always making something in the kitchen. Like all kids, they go through picky stages and I have to get creative. I love experimenting with new recipes and baked goods. I have a lifestyle blog where I occasionally release recipes, as well.
