In this class students I will teach students how to create delicious gluten free cookies, as they follow along with the teacher, step-by-step through each item on the recipe, resulting in their own yummy gluten free cookies and spending time with other students who are learning how to bake gluten free.

Learning Needs
Please let me know if your student has specific needs. I can send the recipe beforehand, accommodate by going slower or creating a separate, individual class if preferred. Also, students may use parental help for tools and oven.
Parental Guidance
Please be advised students will be required to use kitchen mixers and ovens to cook the cookies. Parental help is fine at any time if you feel is needed.

Supply List
Please have the following available and ready to use during class: Flat baking sheet Oven Mit Kitchen or hand mixer Oven 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (for dairy-free use a diary free substitute or vegan butter) 3/4 cup granulated sugar 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed 1 teaspoon molasses 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 1 large egg ( for egg-free/vegan use gluten free egg replacer.) 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon gluten-free baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 1/2 cups all-purpose gluten-free flour with xanthan gum in it ( I tend to like mixes that have more than one blend instead of separate like almond, rice, tapioca, etc. Try finding a mix instead. 2 cups chocolate chips (optional if you'd like dark, milk, vegan free, etc)
