In this eight-week course we will explore the seven continents and learn where they are located and a few facts about each.

Review of the Seven Continents
A review and assessment of the material covered in this Class .
  • Students will practice identifying the continents. Students will also learn about some major facts and geographical characteristics of each continent. Students will practice note-taking Students will enjoy playing a game to see how much they remember from the lesson.
I have been teaching for more  than 45 years. I especially enjoy teaching social studies and science to kids and helping them to gain understanding and develop curiosity about the topics presented.  I have a BS in Education and additional education credentials, including graduate courses in Early Childhood Special Education.  I have been teaching online since 2004.

Details: Group game to assess Student Learning. Class Discussion Participation.
Assessment
Frequency: included
Details: Participation in the game with contribution of correct answers is used as a weekly assessment. At the end of the course in week 8 students will participate in a group assessment.
Each student should come to class with paper and pencil for note-taking. 
It is helpful for students to have a globe or world map to refer to during class.
