Class Experience

Students will learn why a bubble is so strong and what makes it weak. Students will learn how to make a soap bubble snake maker. They will also learn how it works and the science behind it. This fun interactive course only takes 20 minutes. Students will gather materials, learn how to put those materials together to make a device that creates a very large soap snake bubble chain. We will also discuss what a bubble is and what its properties are.
My kids and I make this soap snake maker and have fun with it. I want to pass on the fun of making these and how to it relates to science.
Parental supervision may be necessary for younger learners.
Items needed:
ankle sock adult size works best
plastic 20oz soda bottle the thinner the plastic the better (thick bottles are too hard to cut and don't work well)
dish soap or bubble solution
bubble wand or mason jar ring
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
20 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Parents please help younger children with any cutting or assembling of the project.
