Class Experience
This semester course covers the second half of third grade math. It meets 1times per week for 12 weeks. This course follows "Fun With Third Grade Math: Semester 1". This course covers the same lessons as my ongoing class, "Ongoing Third Grade Math" that also meets once per week. My classes are interactive and fun. Learners should be familiar with place value (ones, tens, hundreds), addition/subtraction, word problems, telling time on the hour/half hour, measuring and estimating length,...
Learning Goals: - Fractions - Time - Measurement and data - Area - Perimeter - Shapes and their attributes
Each class we will have a homework sheet(s) to be completed outside of class. We will discuss this during class. We will review the homework answers at the beginning of the next lesson. Homework is not mandatory but is highly encouraged. It should only take approximately 10-20 minutes to complete.
I will send out feedback to the parents at the end of the semester. I will check in with the parents sooner if the learner is struggling in a specific area. I always welcome questions/comments during the semester.
