Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 5
Beginner - Intermediate Level
📒Your child will embark on a journey to master essential vocabulary skills. They'll start by grasping basic vocabulary terms, exploring word families, and understanding how context aids comprehension, along with delving into synonyms and antonyms. Then, they'll identify nouns and verbs, understand descriptive words, and recognize homophones and compound words. Next, they'll adopt strategies like visual aids and associations to expand their vocabulary, while also beginning to keep a vocabulary journal and practice using a new word daily. Finally, they'll consolidate learning through a review of prior concepts and an assessment to gauge their vocabulary understanding and retention.

🙌🏻 What does "Flexible Schedule" mean and why is it great for this class?
This Flexible Schedule class has🚫 no live meetings! 🚫 Recorded lessons and conversation-starters/assignments will be posted to the virtual classroom on Outschool.com for the students to enjoy at their own pace and per their own schedule! Each lesson includes an interactive element, that encourages the student to type a response after watching the week's lesson. I strive for supportive interactions with my students and the adults in their lives. Please feel free to message me with any questions you have about the class.

🙌🏻 Reasons a FLEX class may be a better option for your student than a LIVE class:
1.) You do not have to worry about/deal with poor internet connection, other students' behavior, schedule conflicts, etc.!
2.) You can watch the videos whenever you want to! Then, you can re-watch the videos whenever you want to! Pause, skip, back up, slow down, speed up, replay! You go at your own pace!
3.) There is MORE TIME between classes so you can digest the information, ask questions, PRACTICE, & relax!
