Description
Class Experience
Hello! Thank you for looking into my class! This semester course covers the first half of third grade math. It meets 1 time per week for 12 weeks. There is a second semester after this class that also meets 1 time per week for 12 weeks, "Fun with Third Grade Math: Semester 2". This course covers the same lessons as my ongoing class, "Ongoing Third Grade Math" that also meets once per week. My classes are interactive and fun. Learners should be familiar with place value (ones, tens,...
Learning Goals: - Place value - Rounding - Addition/subtraction up to 1,000 - Multiplication - Division - Fractions
Each class we will have a homework sheet(s) to be completed outside of class. We will discuss this during class. We will review the homework answers at the beginning of the next lesson. Homework is not mandatory but is highly encouraged. It should only take approximately 10-20 minutes to complete.
I will send out feedback to the parents at the end of the semester. I will check in with the parents sooner if the learner is struggling in a specific area. I always welcome questions/comments during the semester.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
