Annotating and reflecting on notes repeatedly results in 90-100% retention. Scholars will first practice using multiple styles of note taking with different mediums to learn when to use each style and identify their preferred style.

Class experience

US Grade 7 - 10
This class is taught in English.
Scholars will learn multiple ways to take notes using digital and analog methods. They'll understand when to use each style of note taking and how to review, process and reflect on their notes to strengthen their understanding and retention.
Homework Offered
I strongly encourage scholars to review and annotate the notes we took on their own after the class as we won't have enough time to do so during class.
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

It's essential for scholars to have the materials for at least the digital or analog. It's recommended that they bring materials to learn both. - 5 sheets of paper (3 lined paper and 2 unlined printer sheets recommended) - pen and white out or a pencil with an eraser - laptop - annotating items such as markers, highlighters, colored pens, etc. will be helpful but are not necessary. - access to Canva is ideal, but not essential
