*** Please note that once a learner is booked in the class, the teacher will set it to private. It will become a one on one class. If two siblings are enrolled, reach out the the teacher for a sibling discount refund. Parents will receive a survey prior to the class meeting where they will be invited to share their child's challenges in the areas of executive function, note taking and study skills in order to identify an area of focus for the session. Based on parent input, the teacher will create a 45 minute lesson that will support the student's growth in the area of executive function, study skills, notetaking or navigating academic and life transitions. Lessons may include: Executive Function strategies to improve: Flexible Thinking Working Memory Self Monitoring Planning Prioritizating Task Initiation Organization Impulse Control Emotional control Notetaking strategies such as: Visual Notetaking Two Column Notetaking KWL Strategy Color Coding Annotation Making a sample test Mind Mapping Writing strategies such as: Using graphic organizers brainstorm ideas for writing Using graphic organizers to organize ideas for writing Other study skills such as: Following Directions Test Taking Strategies Strategies for life's big transitions: Transitioning from a home school to in person school environment Transitioning from in person school to home school Home schoolers taking community college classes High school junior and seniors navigating college admissions High School graduates who need executive function strategies for what comes next High School graduates who are heading to college (Community or 4 year university) **** My Refund Policy **** 1 on 1: Free transfers upon request when sections are available. Supply List
Handouts in PDF or Google Doc form may be posted in the Outschool classroom before class begins. Pens, pencils, papers, markers or colored pencils, highlighters and Post-It notes are good materials to have on hand.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Bridget Smith is a teacher and parent with ADHD. Her focus on Outschool is supporting students with ADHD, other neurodivergent learners, and students with learning differences.
