I encourage kids to have a hands-on learning experience with my cooking classes. I would love for them to cook step by step with me so they gain the knowledge and experience while being able to taste their end product each and every class. In this 3 day camp, learners will cook 3 Breakfast recipes from start to finish. Learners will learn how to stay safe in the kitchen. They will learn how to work around a stovetop, knife skills, and how to make a batter from scratch. I aim for the learners to have fun while also learning how to be safe and gain confidence in the kitchen.
I have been working as a kids enrichment teacher for the last 3 years. I love teaching children and allowing them to create and think outside the box. I have a 9-year-old son who is on the Autism Spectrum, so am a very patient and understanding teacher. I realize all children learn differently and it is imperative to really listen to each child in order for them to feel secure and safe.

Kids will learn safety around the stove and how to properly read and understand following a recipe while preparing a delicious meal that is guaranteed to impress. We will work on measurements, cooking terms, and why following directions while cooking is imperative. f you have a young learner, parent support may be needed at the stovetop work or with knives.
