As the daughter of a culinary chef, I started cooking at a very young age, as early as four years old! Cooking is not only a necessary life skill, but also a way for children to learn to be creative, and use as a stress reliever. Each class will be a new recipe that will allow learners to try new foods and experiment with a variety of ingredients. We will be making appetizers, desserts, and meals. Learners will use all kitchen appliances with supervision in their home or have cut ingredients cut prior to class by a parent. I will model the cooking and go through each step of a recipe during the class. This is a hands on class! I want learners to be able to ask questions, and explore in the kitchen! If any of the recipes have baking time, we will make a second dish during that time as well. This class is interactive and will also allow children to share pictures of their cooking and recipes they find in the classroom. My goal is to teach learners to be confident in the kitchen, have courage to try new things, and work independently when cooking. There is no experience required, but learners must have supervision for safety when using kitchen appliances or using a knife. Every other week will skip from appetizer and a meal to a dessert. Example of schedule is below. Please make sure to let me know of any allergies. I will message you to let you know an ingredient you can substitute in for a specific ingredient. We will be using the oven, stove, and microwave. I will always let the learners know a week prior of the appliances needed in advance for parent supervision. Learners can share recipes and photos each class in the classroom to spike discussions with classmates. Schedule Example 2024 9/22 - Focaccia Bread Sticks, Stuffed Peppers Soup, Chickpea Salad 9/29 - Pumpkin Pancakes, Salmon and Broccoli with Orzo Dinner 10/6 - Steak Bites, Hawaiian Chicken, and One Pot Spaghetti

As the daughter of a culinary chef, I started cooking anything and everything at the young age of 4. Finding that passion in cooking, has allowed me to love every type of food, and has taught me not to be a picky eater. One of the most important lessons is to not be afraid to cook with unusual or different ingredients. My goal is to teach learners to be creative, and have courage to try new foods.
