In this 4-week cooking class, students will have fun making a different breakfast recipe each week: French Toast, Granola Bars, Pancakes, and a Breakfast Omelet. Let’s have fun making breakfast to share with your family and friends!

Class Experience

In this course, students will practice making four different breakfast recipes: French Toast, Granola Bars, Pancakes, and a Breakfast Omelet. 

The students will:
-practice following a recipe
-practice using kitchen tools to measure ingredients
-practice cooking on a stovetop or oven (*Parental supervision is strongly encouraged.)
-confidently share their completed recipes with the teacher/class (and their families).
*No previous experience is required.

**Please note that the class may not end exactly on time.  The class duration is estimated as some students may take longer (or shorter) to finish the recipe.

over 4 Weeks
Lesson 1:
French Toast
 The student will learn the tools, ingredients, and recipe required to make French Toast for breakfast.

Granola Bars
 The student will learn the tools, ingredients, and recipe required to make Granola Bars for breakfast.

Pancakes
 The student will learn the tools, ingredients, and recipe required to make Pancakes for breakfast.

Lesson 4:
Breakfast Omelet
 The student will learn the tools, ingredients, and recipe required to make Breakfast Omelets for breakfast.

Parental Guidance
Parents, please be advised of potential hazards: use of a stove/oven, use of sharp kitchen tools, and risk of allergens. Parental guidance is strongly advised.
Supply List
To participate in the live cooking class, students will need to gather materials for the live class each week.  Students will receive a list of required ingredients and tools one week before each live class session.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I have been cooking and baking with my mom since I was a young girl.  My mom, a professional baker, has inspired me to be creative in the kitchen.  I now share my love of cooking and baking with my own children (and my family and friends).  I am excited to share my love of cooking and baking with other young home chefs as well.
