This class meets 4 days a week. It is a cooking/baking camp that is similar to last years camp, but has 4 new and delicious dishes to make.

Class Experience

  • Students will build cooking skills by making entrees and desserts from scratch. They will experience a little Louisiana by making jambalaya and they will satisfy their cravings for sweets by making carmelitas and lemon ice box pie. And finally, who doesn't love chicken nuggets? I will show you how to make them be both delicious and healthy. We will also learn about food and equipment safety in the kitchen.
I am not a trained chef, but I have been working in the kitchen since I was old enough to stand up on a bar stool and see over the counter.  I cook most everything I make from scratch and I love to share my recipes with young learners.

Details: Learner's progress will be assessed by their finished products.
We will use some kitchen equipment such as the oven, stove, knives, mixers and other gadgets that might be dangerous.  Parental guidance might be necessary.
