Using simple recipes, beginning cooks can make dinner for their family. Each week, we will cook a full meal from scratch using simple techniques, delicious ingredients, and love.
Class experience
Are you ready to learn how to cook a complete meal for your family? This class is geared toward learners who are interested in becoming more independent in the kitchen by making dinner with minimal help from home. In each class, we will complete a dinner recipe together from start to finish. My style of teaching is very hands-on, as I will be cooking alongside the learners. I use two cameras--one showing me, then one showing my counter or stove so that I can demonstrate each of the steps...
As an educator for 16 years, I know that one of the most fun parts of school is CREATING learning exeriences for children. These recipes will help your child LISTEN and HAVE FUN in an engaging and accepting classroom atmosphere. I love creating connections with my learners and their families so that they will feel welcome to be "themselves" in our classroom. My online teaching experience spans over the past 4 years where I have taught 1000s of students and lessons. I have taught over 200 classes on Outschool, with over 1650 learners and counting! I love seeing my "online students" return to my classes!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Parents may need to be close by to help with operating kitchen appliances, like the oven or stove. Please be aware of potential kitchen hazards. We will use the stove and oven to heat our ingredients. We will be chopping with knives. Please be sure to have oven mitts ready to take any dishes out of the oven. Parental guidance is suggested. **Please discuss with the instructor if you have questions about possible substitutions. I'm happy to help you find a substitution to match your dietary needs.
