Animal science helps students explore and learn about animals around the world and their unique qualities. In this course we will learn about sea otters. The lesson will focus on their anatomy, diets, habitat, facts, endangered status and much more! ⭐This class will consist of 5 tasks that can be done over 5 days or all in one day what ever works best for the student! There is also an optional edible project at the end. 🌟The week will have a video along with worksheets, vocabulary words to learn and practice review games. The week will end with a Kahoot to quiz the students on what they have learned that week. While the class is self-paced I am available for feedback and answering questions. Please expect to have answered within 72 hours (typically much sooner on weekdays) of sending messages. Certificates of completion are available as well. This class is a self-paced course meaning we will not meet live together. Students will be encouraged to share completed worksheets, something new they learned, along with any questions.

Splashing into the world of sea otters, students will explore their habitat, learn anatomy, learn facts. This lesson is followed by an optional edible project!

Parental Guidance
We will also be using Kahoot for the final assessment quiz.
Students will be using scissors and glue during the lesson.
During the edible project students will be using a knife to spread icing and may need help/supervision.

Growing up along the Oregon Coast I have always had a deep love for the ocean and the creatures that live there. I have helped teach youth classes at the Twin Rocks Outdoor School for two years focusing on tide pools and ocean ponds. I have always loved learning and studying ocean life and can't wait to share this with your students!
I have worked with children/youth for over the last 14 years!
I have worked as a preschool teacher, church youth teacher, 4H leader/adviser, and have homeschooled my own children for over 11 years!
I have training in early childhood education, working with children with special needs, and working with at risk youth.
