1 hour per week. Students will need to watch the video for each lesson and fill out the worksheets. After the video students will need to complete the Kahoot quiz. Students are encouraged to share pictures of their work.Certificate of Completion

Animal science helps students explore and learn about animals and how each has unique qualities. We will learn about anatomy of different species, diets, digestion, care needed and so much more! This class is a self-paced course meaning we will not meet live together. Each lesson will have 5 tasks that can be done one a day or more than one a day, what ever works best for your students! Each week will focus on one farm animal. -Students will watch a videos where we will go over basic facts, learn body parts and how these animals are cared for while completing worksheets. -Students will learn a set of vocabulary words for the week and practice them. -Each week will end with a fun Kahoot where students will test their knowledge of what they have learned. -Students will be encouraged to make a spiral where they will store all their worksheets (this can be used for quizzes). This is a great resource for areas that require proof of work. This spiral will have pages for the Part 1 of this course as well as the llama course if students wish to continue learning more. We will learn about uses for bees on a farm, tools beekeepers use, bee lifecycle, how bees produce honey and use pollen and much more! 5 assignments

Horses
We will learn about gestation, basic care, label anatomy, and farm uses for horses. 4 assignments

Let's discuss the uses of sheep on a farm, common breeds, learn about how sheep are sheared, sheep anatomy, digestion, and more! 4 assignments

Ducks
We will learn about uses for ducks on a farm, different breeds, anatomy, basic care, how eggs are formed, and how ducks stay waterproof! 6 assignments

Parental Guidance
As we are discussing animals in a farm setting there will be discussion about animals being butchered for food. This will not be an in-depth conversation but using animals for meat will be part of some of the weeks.
We will also be using games through Wordwall, for safety students can use just their first name, nick names or the first letter of their name. These review games are optional and parents can have students review vocabulary a different way at home.
We will also be using Kahoot for the assessment quizzes.
For accessing the certificate students will need to fill out a google form.
