These review games are optional and parents can have students review vocabulary a different way at home. We will also be using Kahoot for the final assessment quiz. For accessing the certificate students will need to fill out a google form. *For science experiments and edible labs students may need help from adults. One experiment can be a bit messy. *For the edible labs some have students cutting an apple and strawberries with a knife. *Students will be using scissors during art projects and may need help as well. *Students will need to use a hole punch and metal brad during the dolphin lesson and may need help/supervision with this as well.

Teacher expertise and credentials
As someone who grew up along the beautiful Oregon Coast, my deep love for the ocean and its incredible creatures has been a lifelong passion. This enthusiasm led me to teach youth classes at Twin Rocks Outdoor School for two years, focusing on tide pools and ocean habitats. I’m excited to share this fascination with your child and help them explore the wonders of marine life!

With over 14 years of experience working with children, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a preschool teacher, church youth leader, 4-H adviser, and homeschooling parent for more than 11 years. I also hold specialized training in early childhood education, working with children with special needs, and supporting at-risk youth.

I am passionate about creating engaging, supportive, and fun learning environments where students not only succeed but feel empowered to explore their natural curiosity. Your child will thrive as they dive into marine biology and build their understanding of the ocean's fascinating creatures! 🌊
