Homework
1 hour per week. Students will need to watch the video for each lesson and fill out the worksheets during the lesson. After the video students will need to complete the Kahoot quiz. Students are encouraged to share pictures of their work.

This self-paced animal science course is perfect for young animal lovers, 4H youth, and homeschoolers! Over four weeks, students will explore the fascinating world of pigs, goats, chickens, and bunnies. 
They’ll learn about animal anatomy, digestion, diets, care, and more in a fun and interactive way!

This course is designed to fit into busy schedules. With no live meetings, students can complete five engaging tasks each week at their own pace—whether that’s one task a day or more! 

Each lesson includes:
🎥 Engaging Videos: Learn about each animal’s unique qualities, body parts, and how they’re cared for.
📝 Interactive Worksheets: Complete worksheets that reinforce what they’ve learned.

Lesson 1:
Learn About Chickens
 In this lesson we will learn the anatomy of a chicken, how their digestion is unique, how chicks develop, different uses for chickens on farms, different breeds of chickens, basic care and how chicks are hatched.

Learn About Pigs
 We will learn about commercial feeds, basic care, anatomy and more!

Lesson 3:
Learn About Bunnies
 We will finish up with learning about the anatomy of rabbits, the shape and function of their teeth, different uses for rabbits on farms, how their digestive tract is unique, basic care for rabbits and more!

Learn About Goats
 This lesson we will cover different uses for goats on a farm, how goats digestion is different than ours, learning the anatomy of a goat, what different breeds of goats are and more.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
As we are discussing animals in a farm setting there will be discussion about animals being butchered for food. This will not be an in-depth conversation but using animals for meat will be part of some of the weeks. We will also be using games through Wordwall, for safety students can use just their first name, nick names or the first letter of their name. These review games are optional and parents can have students review vocabulary a different way at home. We will also be using Kahoot for the assessment quizzes. For accessing the certificate students will need to fill out a google form.

Students will need access to a printer to print off worksheets for each week.
