OTHER SESSION DATES ARE AVAILABLE - Please contact me via Outschool to discuss your requirements. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This one-to-one teaching and additional support class is intended for students who are currently studying for a GCSE or IGCSE in Geography. The session can be tailored towards the student’s chosen syllabus (GCSE Edexcel A/B, OCR A/B, AQA, Eduqas A/B and iGCSE, Cambridge, Edexcel). The session can be used as a standalone session to cover a topic of the student’s choice or can be booked as a series of sessions by arrangement with the teacher. Alternatively, the session can be used to support and guide the student through examination techniques and past papers. Topics to be studied cover: > The Natural/Physical Environment: Weather and Climate, Coastal Landscapes, Ecosystems, Rock Landscapes, Glacial Landscapes, Natural Hazards, Rivers and Water, The Living World > The Human Environment: Development, Globalization, Trade and Independence, Population and Migration, Rural Environments, Tourism, Urban Environments, Economic Change, Resource Management > Environmental and Development Issues: Energy and Resources, Conservation, Waste and Pollution, Sustainability > Geographical Skills including Cartographic and Graphical Skills --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: It is requested that parents engage with the teacher before class to discuss the students chosen topic/area of study. Parents are welcome to request ongoing classes and for the teacher to supply units of work to correspond with the student's selected examination board and syllabus. These requests will need 1 week's notice to allow for the teacher to prepare the resources for class.

I have taught, as a qualified teacher, in mainstream schools for 20 plus years, and hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and a degree in Environmental Science and History. I have extensive experience in delivering classroom-based lessons and online sessions to students of differing ages and abilities. I currently teach a number of home educated students who are studying for their GCSE/iGCSEs in a range of subjects, including, Geography, History, English, Information Technology, Graphics, and Environmental Sciences.
