Students will gain an insight into the world of private aviation and some of the steps taken to secure a Private Pilot's Licence. This class is intended to encourage group participation and discussion.
I have been fortunate to have been involved in education services for over 30 years and have extensive experience delivering classroom-based lessons and online digital e-learning packages to both schools and home educated students. I have taught, as a qualified teacher, in mainstream schools for 20 plus years, and hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. I hold a UK Private Pilot’s Licence and have had the privilege of flying in the UK, US and Europe.
Downloadable resources are provided for most lessons. Whilst it is not essential that students have access to these, they can help to increase engagement in class. These documents are posted in the classroom 24 hours before each session. Students should bring pens/pencils to class.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students are given the opportunity to complete a fun, on-screen quiz at the end of the course. A certificate of completion can be requested.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This class uses private link, onscreen clickable resources (content created by the teacher) via the Genial.ly web app (https://genial.ly/). Learners and parents do not require a log in to access the resource.
