This fun one-time class introduces young learners to the concept of online identity and helps them to understand some of the ways that they can stay safe online. Learners will follow the activities of a fictional character and explore how online activity can leave a trail of personal information, understanding how this information could be used and shared. This class deals with the issues of online privacy in a sensitive and age-appropriate way and offers learners advice and support in knowing how to keep safe while using Internet related services.
Learning Goals
• Learners will understand how to use online technology safely, keeping personal and identifiable information private.
• Learners will know how to report any privacy or safety concerns to a responsible adult or appropriate online organization.
