This fun one-time class will explore the personal and political life of the British Queen, Victoria. As one of the longest serving monarchs, we will delve into her everyday life and loves, whilst learning some fascinating and sometimes weird facts about the historic Queen! The class involves a virtual tour of (using Google Maps) of her main residences and important monuments celebrating her life. The class is supported with a presentation and quizzes. Learners are challenged to research some key facts and to be involved in the Question and Answer sections. No prior knowledge is necessary.

> Examine the influences on the young Queen and her family.
> Explore modern day London and it's royal residences.

I am a qualified teacher in the UK with over 25 years’ experience, delivering high quality learning content in schools and for online providers. I have extensive experience teaching IT and Digital Technology classes and I love to teach Earth Sciences, History, English, Art, and Craft classes too. My personal passions for Digital Art and Graphic Design also feature in my choice of classes. I currently enjoy tutoring students in many different countries, and I am excited to share my skills as part of this online learning community.
My classes are intended to be engaging and fun and I passionately believe that online learning can support and enhance the existing school and home ed curriculum. I use a range of digital tools and online services in my classes to enhance the learning experience.
I am a patient teacher and encourage all to fully participate in their learning. Every class aims for a 'can do' environment with students positively challenged throughout each session. Mistakes are embraced and rewarded by self-improvement and a growth in confidence. I have experience of teaching children with a range of differing needs, and aim to make all lessons as inclusive as they can be.
I am a Mum to 2 children, (12 and 14). We enjoy digital technology, reading, long walks, and playing music together!
