Class Experience

US Grade 5 - 8
Beginner - Intermediate Level
This class is intended to equip and provide learners with foundational skills needed in a globalized world. Students will gain an understanding of different concepts in geography (with emphasis on physical geography). They will sharpen their map reading skills, identify the world's oceans and significant water bodies, landforms, biomes, and more. To encourage independent exploration of the week's topic, I provide optional activities and projects to complete outside class time. Students are welcome to show or share their projects in class.

Lessons will involve a slideshow presentation with questions and opportunities for students to express their opinions respectfully. My teaching style is engaging and interactive. I like to foster inquiry-based learning habits by encouraging students to ask questions and actively participate in their learning. Where possible, we will play a review game before class ends.
