Welcome to Wacky Science with Miss Meghan! In this summer camp style class we will be diving into a variety of science concept, learning the history behind them, and conducting our own fun hands-on experiments. This topics covered in the first unit will be flight, buoyancy, chemistry, absolute zero and sound. The class will begin with a lesson on the concept, the history and then conclude with the experiment. I love class participation and encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson. Discussions are often so much fun and highly encouraged! During the experiment I will be helping students along and will spotlight them to have them take over and demonstrate their learning. I love to get silly and this class is no exception. My inspirations for this class are some of my television teacher heroes Bill Nye and Miss Frizzle. If you like either of these two then you will love learning with me. Humor will definitely make this class FUN! Just a note for parents: I am a special education teacher so if you I will make sure ALL learners have fun in this classroom! That includes students with ADHD, Autism, AAC Devices and any alternative learning styles! Additionally, I will also happily accept a wider age range based on your students interests and abilities! I look forward to meeting your learner! :-)

Up, up and away! Students get ready to explore the fantastic world of FLIGHT! In this lesson, students will embark on a journey up into the sky to explore the science behind flight and create a hands-on demonstration of Bernoulli's Principle. 45 分鐘線上直播課

The Awesome Exploration of Absolute Zero!
Chill with me and find out just how cold zero can be! Students will end the lesson by demonstrating the effect heat has on an object. **NOTE**This lesson will require some advanced planning so please register accordingly. This class provides visual supports for non-readers and EL students. While students will occasionally be asked to participate I am flexible when it comes to the way in which they respond (gestures, AAC Devices and written responses welcome)

The class does utilize some humor in our buoyancy lesson whereby Archimedes is seen in a towel and is said to run naked into the street upon the discovery of water displacement.
