During this class students will be taking a photo of their choice and using special effects in Canva to create their own custom image! The class format will go as follows. 15 minutes-Going over Canva layout, effects that I love and recommend, a variety of tools and elements as well as a sample photo so they can see the ideas and brainstorm what they want to do with their own images. If students would like to edit during this time as well that is fine too! We will be collaborating during this time and thinking about what we want to create with their images. 20 minutes-Jumping into it! The students will put those skills into practice. The goal is to leave class with a beautiful image and I will be walking them through each step so they can do just that! 5 minutes-Sharing your creations! **These are estimates and we will take as much time as we need during each step. If students would like additional time or less time in each area I will make sure we are ready to move on each step of the way!

I have a M.A. in Special Education. I have taught Canva in both resource and self-contained settings in public school. I will provide visuals, small class sizes and custom assistance for your student. I am happy to welcome ALL learners!

I work hard to ensure that the class is making safe choices on Canva and the image and enhancements that they use are kid friendly. I have a zero tolerance policy for inappropriate creations in class.

Students will need to have a free Canva account (bonus if they have pro!). They will also need a photo to work with. Videos are great, but they are more time consuming. Please reach out if your child has a specific interest in video.
