During our time together, students will be learning something new and then taking that learning and applying it to a fun cooking lesson in this summer camp style class! These recipes are super easy, allergen friendly, and require minimal prep and support from grown ups! The agenda will go something like this: 5 Minutes: Introduction and Objectives 10 Minutes: Mini Lesson tying into our cooking theme. These lessons might include singing, math, social studies or science presentations. 25 Minutes: Cooking lesson! Students will follow the model, but then have creative freedom to create their own treats! I love hands on learning and lessons that are project based. I move slowly with the students to check for understanding. I am also a very flexible teacher so if your student wants to apply a little more creativity that's no problem! The goal of cooking is really just to have fun! I am a special education teacher so I welcome ALL learners! Whether your students is neurodiverse, non-speaking, or developmentally delayed I am happy to accommodate them! This class will occur weekly with a different treat each week. Please see below for more details on each treat! July 1-5 Yogurt Parfaits Students will travel back in time to learn the history of the parfait and how it looks in other countries. Then we will create our own tasty parfaits to enjoy! July 8-12 Fruit and Veggie Bugs Students will learn about different types of bugs and then create their own using delicious healthy foods! July 15-19 Snack Necklaces Calling all my little Swifties! Let's make some friendship snack necklaces using our estimation skills! July 22-26 Funfetti Energy Balls Let's get our bodies moving today with some energy balls! Students will be kicking the lesson off with plenty of movement and fun followed by a recipe for funfetti energy balls. July 29-August 2 Funny Pizza Faces Bring your silliest faces today! Students will be talking about feelings in this read aloud lesson followed by the creation of their very own face.

This class is open to EVERYONE! Please let me know if you child has any allergy concerns and we will work together to adapt any of the ingredients. Any other limitations please reach out!
父母的引導和規範
This class will not require the use of ovens or knives. We will occasionally cut up things like fruit and veggies, but you are welcome to pre-cut your food for your younger children.
Additionally any allergens can also be adapted to the needs of your learner. I have provided some examples in the class supply list description.

Week 1: Yogurt Parfaits -Spoon -Small cup (clear is best but if you don't have one that's okay!) -Kid safe knife if you plan to have them cut fruit. Reach out if you need suggestions on where to find this! -Yogurt (any kind that works for you! Dairy Alternatives are a great option! Pudding will work as well) -Your Favorite Fruits (some of mine include blueberries, sliced strawberries, bananas and blackberries) if your learner is comfortable cutting soft fruits that's great and if you prefer just have them ready to go for them! -Granola/nuts/coconut/chia seeds/sprinkles or other fun toppings Week 2-Veggie Bugs (you do NOT need all of these ingredients but rather just the ones your child would want to utilize to make their bug) -Small Rubber Spatula or spoon -Plate or cutting board -Child Safe knife if you choose not to pre-cut ingredients (message me if you need help finding one) -Celery -Nut butter or Cream Cheese -Grapes -Grape Tomatoes -Black Olives -Mini Chocolate Chips -Celery -Strawberries -Apple Slices -Pretzels Week 3-Snack Necklaces (you do NOT need all of these ingredients but rather just the ones your child would want to utilize to make their necklace. If you are not comfortable with the plastic needle just simply supply snacks that do not need it.) -Plastic Needle and String -Cheerios -Fruit Loops -Pretzels -Cheezits -Dried Fruits -Cheese Cubes -Gummie Life Savers Week 4- Funfetti Energy Balls -Wax Paper -Storage Container -Honey -Peanut Butter -Oats -Mini Chocolate Chips -Sea Salt -Sprinkles -Vanilla -Hemp/Chia/Flax Seed Week 5-Pizza Faces (you do NOT need all of these ingredients but rather just the ones your child would want to utilize to make their pizza) -Rubber Spatula or Spoon -Plate English Muffins Pizza Sauce Shredded Cheese Pepperoni Olives Bell Peppers Basil Pineapple
