In this book club we will be getting silly with some of my favorite books and stories! The class begins with a silly joke (or two if your learner wants to share!) and then we dive into our book. After the book we will either learn a fun silly song or we will play a silly game based on the book. I look forward to laughing along with your little ones! - Students will work on comprehension skills through read aloud stories.
- Students will learn what makes a good joke.
- Students will utilize movement and song to deepen comprehension.
I have been a special education teacher for the last 12 years. I hold a masters degree in Special Education and Elementary Education as well as an English as a Second Language Endorsement. My classroom has always been a place where kids can be their authentic silly selves!
This book club is open to ALL learners! As a special education teacher I am well versed in accommodations needed for your student to access my club so please reach out with any unique needs your learner may have!
While not every class will have drawings, I do as that your learner have a peice of paper and things to draw with on hand!
This class is full of silly stories and so at times the humor may involve silly things like underwear, tummy troubles, or stinky diapers!
