- Students will develop fluency through practice and explicit strategies.
- Students will increase their comprehension in reading both fiction and nonfiction.
- Students will develop foundational phonics skills and form a more comprehensive understanding of spelling and structure of the English Language.
I hold a masters degree in special education as well as elementary education. I have been teaching in classrooms for the past 12 years and my experience spans a wide range from Kindergarten co-teaching to self-contained programs for students with developmental disabilities and students on the Autism Spectrum. I love teaching reading skills as it opens so many doors to my students who struggle in school.
Assessment

I hold a special education certification and I am happy to work with students with any unique learning needs.
Please come to class with a whiteboard or notebook. Depending on your goals, you may receive print outs prior to class.
