This class is ideal for learners who have an interest in learning about anxiety (feelings of worry) reduction, and how strategies can be used to reduce worries, stress feelings and increase an overall sense of calm. This is an educational, fact-based course, and not a counseling, support or therapy group. I offer 1:1 classes which can be personalized with anxiety education and strategies that relate to current needs. Each lesson will be stand alone. There's no benefit to starting at...
- In each class: 1. Students will hear a brief overview of what anxiety is, specifically the physiological process and how strategies can interrupt that process 2. Students will learn at least 2-3 strategies 3. Students will learn why the strategies work to reduce worries and anxiety
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, with M.Ed. in Community counseling and a B.A. in Sociology. I have taught Anxiety Awareness/Reduction, to children of all ages, in brick and mortar classrooms, and in group counseling settings.
