Class Description:
In this weekly mindfulness class, students will explore a variety of guided meditation practices designed to enhance focus, self-regulation, empathy, and the ability to respond thoughtfully to life’s challenges rather than reacting impulsively. Through regular practice, students will build a strong foundation for a lifelong meditation habit while developing critical life skills to navigate stress and improve overall well-being.

Each week, students will experience a unique guided meditation with a specific focus, such as mindfulness of the body and breath, sending kind thoughts to oneself and others, or cultivating gratitude and positivity. The meditation practice lasts 10-15 minutes, followed by a group discussion to reflect on the experience and a short takeaway exercise or meditation to practice during the week.

Techniques to reduce stress, anxiety, and overwhelm
Improved focus and concentration for school and daily life
Greater emotional resilience and the ability to self-regulate
Skills for cultivating gratitude, generosity, and mindfulness

Mindfulness of the body, breath, and sounds
Sending kind thoughts (Loving-Kindness Meditation)
Mindful Appreciation and Gratitude
Mindful Body Scans and Relaxation
Stop Mindfully: Pausing to respond instead of react
Mindful Walking and Mountain Meditation
Positivity, empathy, and mindfulness of emotions

How the Class Works:

Guided Meditation: Each session begins with a 10-15 minute secular meditation.
Group Reflection: Students share their experiences and insights in a safe, supportive environment.
Weekly Practice: Each class ends with a takeaway exercise or meditation for students to practice at home.
This class is ideal for students who want to improve their focus, concentration, emotional balance, and overall happiness. No prior experience is required—just an open mind and a willingness to try!

Greetings to all parents and learners! I'm Gita, a Certified Mindfulness Instructor, dedicated to fostering well-being in kids, teens, parents, and educators by alleviating stress and anxiety while promoting balance and overall wellness.

With over a decade of experience teaching mindfulness meditation, I help learners improve focus, stay present, and develop skills to manage their emotions. My approach empowers them to make better decisions, cultivate kindness toward themselves and others, and ultimately live healthier, happier lives while reaching their fullest potential.


With over 30 years of personal mindfulness meditation practice, I've been imparting the transformative benefits of mindfulness and secular meditation techniques for over 10 years. I honed my skills through a comprehensive six-month meditation teacher training with the esteemed Willpower Institute in Canada & Thailand, earning my Meditation Instructor Certificate in 2014.

My commitment to mindfulness education deepened with over two years of mindfulness training courses through Mindful Schools, in California. I completed the Year-Long certification program, earning the title of Mindful Schools Certified Mindfulness Instructor (CMI) in 2018. This certification equips me to teach Kids and Teens using Mindful School's specialized curriculum.

Mindfulness, to me, is the art of paying attention to both our inner and outer experiences with openness and curiosity. It involves embracing our experiences without judgment and fostering kindness towards ourselves and others.

In the realm of education, I've witnessed the power of mindfulness in helping children and teens maintain focus, enhance concentration, improve academic performance, and develop self-awareness. Through mindfulness training, they cultivate compassion and care for themselves and those around them.

Teaching mindfulness meditation is not just my profession—it's my passion. I am driven by a desire to share the profound gift of mindfulness practices with as many people as possible. My aim is to help individuals reduce the stresses of daily life and pave the way for a happier, healthier, and more harmonious existence.
