Beginner Level
The basics of long division: Dividend, divisor, quotient, and remainder Dividing single-digit and multi-digit numbers (with and without remainders) Estimation techniques and divisibility rules Division with two-digit divisors Solving long division word problems Each class is structured into four parts: Introduction (5-10 minutes): Review of previous material and overview of the day’s topic. Core Lesson (15-20 minutes): Step-by-step explanation of new concepts using slides, worked examples, and live demonstrations. Guided Practice (10-15 minutes): Students work through problems with real-time feedback and support. Wrap-Up (5 minutes): Quick recap, Q&A session, and homework assignment.
Learning Goals
Students will master the step-by-step process of solving long division problems, including handling multi-digit dividends and single- or two-digit divisors.
Students will confidently estimate quotients and check their work for accuracy using estimation and multiplication.
