Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
In this Ongoing class, students will be introduced to long division.  The teacher will introduce vocabulary associated with the long division as well as explain the step-by-step process of solving long division problems.  Students will observe the teacher working problems, work problems with the teacher as well as work problems on their own.  Students should know their multiplication facts as well as have an understanding of division and division facts.  Students who have a strong foundation in their multiplication skills, as well as an understanding of division facts, could do well in this class.  Let's work on long division!

Week of 9/19- Beginning Long Division with and without remainders
Week of 9/26- Beginning Long Division with and without remainders
Week of 10/3- Beginning Long Division with and without remainders
Week of 10/10-  Beginning Long Division with and without remainders
Week of 10/17- Beginning Long Division Practice with and without remainders
Week of 10/24-  Beginning Long Division with and without remainders
Week of 10/31- Beginning Long Division with and without remainders
Week of 11/6- Beginning Long Division with and without remainders

And then the schedule repeats.  Due to the nature of Beginning Long Division, your child is free to join any week as we will always be introducing beginning long division.

Hello everyone!  Welcome to Outschool!  
My name is Ms. Julie and I'm excited to meet you!  I teach Reading, Math, Writing, ESL (English As a Second Language), and other subjects too.  I've been an educator and teaching for over 20 years in both brick-and-mortar and online.  When I'm not teaching, I can often be found tutoring online or in person.  My experience includes working with preschool to high school students with a lot of my experience with elementary and middle school age groups.  I have an elementary education K-6 grade license as well as a math 5-8 license and a K-12 ESL (English As a Second Language) License.  I have taught ESL (English as a Second Language) for many years also.  My masters in reading has been a great resource as well.
Every student can learn and I believe we all learn in different ways.  I love to have fun while learning!  When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time outside with my furry friend or time with family and friends.
